A medieval hoard brimming with silver ingots, gold rings and 1000’s of silver cash was just lately found in a Polish cornfield by an archaeologist, with the assistance of a priest and native firefighters.

The almost 900-year-old hoard, present in Słuszków, a village in west-central Poland, held a one-of-a-kind treasure — a gold ring etched with a Cyrillic inscription that interprets to: “Lord, could you assist your servant Maria.”
