Sultan Sultan was very passionate about Nigeria – President Buhari


The president, Major General Mohammadu Buhari, mourned singer Olanrevaju Fasasi, known as Sound Sultan, who died on Sunday after a fierce battle with Angioimmunoblastic T-cell lymphoma.

This was announced by the President’s Special Advisor for Media and Public Affairs, Femi Adesina, on Monday in a statement entitled ‘President Buhari condoles with the Fasasi family on the loss of Sound Sultan.’

The statement read, “President Muhammadu Buhari extends heartfelt condolences to the Fasasi family on the death of renowned singer and songwriter, Olanrewaju Fasasi, popularly known as Sound Sultan, aged 44.”

“The president stated that Sound Sultan’s death is a loss not only for the Nigerian music industry, but for the entire country.”

As a famous rapper, singer, songwriter and actor, he lived an exemplary life and reaches several stations in his work life and Career and has made a significant contribution to the development of Nigeria’s music and entertainment industry through his artistic genius.

“The deceased, President Buhari affirmed, was kind, generous and very passionate about the country which showed in his music and arts and, as a big basketball fan, made a significant contribution to the development of local basketball in the country.”
