Saturdays & Relationships : Stay single until you find someone who really deserves you.

Understand that there is nothing wrong with being alone.

Many people find it difficult to remain single. They look around and see that everyone has something special with someone. When they go out, the only thing they could see are couples. It suddenly seemed that each of their friends have a happy and loving relationship too. “Why am I the only one still alone?” they start asking. After a while, they begin to believe that something is wrong with them. The thoughts take over and begin to control them.

You need to focus on your happiness, not the state of your relationship.

The fear of being left alone makes people content with less than they deserve. Even when you’re in a relationship, it can be sweeter than being alone only when you’re with the right person. Remember, it’s better to be alone and unmarried than to be in a relationship with someone who makes you unhappy. Life is too short to waste your time in a loveless relationship just because you are afraid of being left alone.

When you spend time alone, you understand who you are and what you want.

If you give yourself a chance to be alone, you’ll find that it’s not scary at all. In fact, you will like it. Being single gives you the opportunity to understand what you want, what makes you happy, and where you want to be in life. Knowing exactly who you are will help you see what kind of person you should have by your side. In other words, you will stop being satisfied with people who don’t respect your boundaries. In addition, you will stop forgiving for fear of being left alone. You will take your deal breakers seriously and will not take less than you deserve. One day the right person will come along and make you happier than ever.

Only through loneliness can you discover who you are and what you value. When this happens, you will not be satisfied with anyone. Instead, you’ll be waiting for someone to treat you with the respect, love, and attention you know you deserve.
