Living Faith Church at Kogi State Invaded by Gunmen as they Abduct three Persons from the Scene.

The Chiarmam and head of Adavi Local Government Area of Kogi state, Joseph Omuya Salami said gunmen stormed a branch of the Living Faith Church Worldwide, also known as the Winners Chapel, founded by Bishop David Oydepo.

Salami confirmed this to reporters on Monday through his special media and public relations advicer, Habib Jamiu.

Gunmen, suspected of being bandits, have broken into a church branch in Osara parish, Lokoja-Okene Road, in a local government area in Kogi state.

The kidnappers reportedly broke into the church hall as members were meeting over the weekend and abducted at least three people.

Salami reported gunmen fired relentlessly in the air to intimidate the public and kidnap their victims.

The chairman of the council said he had visited the crime scene with Osara Division police officers.

He said the council was working with security officials to ensure the release of the victims.
